  Two tracker tracks and five droney messy tracks make up Fugue State, an EP(?) that I am calling done because someone said 'drop the EP' and they were right. At some point I realised how very easy it is for me to tune out of the world and time while I am making music, to just become fully lost in what I'm doing, usually to the detriment of something. But I do like the music that's come out of that. RINGING and THREAT were tracks made using the Dirtywave M8 that gave me this feeling. But it was when I started playing around with physical droney sounds that I really hit the zone-out point consistently. I could (and have) sit listening to the same hum/effect for ages, making minor adjustments every so often, and it just pleases my brain greatly. I started sharing the noises only because I said something like 'wow I'm making some messed-up noises' and of course my friends demanded to hear them.
  
  This should not be considered a definitive 'fugue state' collection. It's merely a slice, leaning to more recent droney stuff as noted above. I'm sure I'll continue to make music in the same way, but there's something to be said for having a published collection of tracks that are somewhat related. ... more
